Dhaka six constituency member of parliament (MP) and Awami League leader Mizanur Rahman Dipu died in the early hours of Saturday.
He was rushed to Apollo Hospitals in Dhaka where doctors said he died of stroke around 3am, his assistant Abu Ahmed Lipu told the Dhaka Tribune.
His Namaz-e-Janaza will be held at Jatiya Sangsad south plaza at 12 noon.
The 49-year old Awami League leader had secured a nomination from his party for the 10th national elections scheduled for January 5.
Later, however, he withdrew his nomination upon directives of his party.
