A fire broke out at a shop in the capital’s Gausia Market on Wednesday night.
Alamgir Hossain, a mobilising officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence, said: “The fire broke out at a shop located on the third floor of the market around 8pm.”
He said: “Five units of the fire service are trying to douse the fire.”
No casualties were reported so far and the cause of the fire could not be known immediately, he added.
