Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) detained 48 Bangladeshis from Jessore who were crossing over to India on Saturday evening.
Border Guard Bangladesh picked them up upon a tip-off from Putkhali frontier.
BGB 23 commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Mazharul Islam said the Bangladeshis were going to India without having legal documents
The detainees were handed over to Benapole port Police Station , the station’s Sub Inspector Abdul Aziz said.
Later they were sent to Jessore court.
