The victims of the “Butcher of Mirpur” have received justice after the execution of Abdul Quader Molla, Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the prime minister's son said.
The statement, slating Quader Molla as an “animal,” was made in the official Facebook fan page of the Awami League leader after Thursday midnight.
“Today is a historic day. The first war criminal has been executed,” the post said. “Quader Molla became known during the War of Liberation as the Butcher of Mirpur.”
“He led a band of Razakars into a house and killed a two-year old by banging him against the floor, raped his sisters and slaughtered the family,” he said citing eyewitness accounts.
“Anyone capable of this is not human, but an animal. Today Momena (victim) and all his other victims have justice,” he added.
The status update was posted hours after the execution of Quader Molla.
