A covered van driver, who was injured in an attack by blockade supporters, succumbed to his injuries early Thursday.
The deceased is Mahabubul Alam, 30, hailed from Barguna district.
Our correspondent reports, Mahabubul received head injuries when some blockade supporters threw bricks and bats targeting his covered van in Mohipal area in Feni in the early hours of the day.
He was rushed to Feni Upazila Heath Complex and later shifted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the duty doctor declared him death around 3am.
CMCH police camp in-charge Sub-Inspector Zahirul Islam confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
