Thirty one captives were rescued and three human traffickers were detained in a police raid from the port city of Chittagong, Sunday morning.
The victims were about to be shipped off to Malaysia, police said. However, the identities of the victims and the traffickers could not be obtained.
Chittagong Metropolitan Police Panchlaish circle Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Abdur Rouf confirmed the incident.
A process is on to file a case to this regard under the human trafficking act, he said.
