Popular Dhallywood big-screen actor Ferdous Ahmed, who emerged as a super hero in the mid 1990s, is going to Adelaide, to inaugurate Adelaid Bangladeshi Cultural Club as chief guest today. Ferdous took this initiative to spread the rich cultural aspects of Bangladesh to the Bangladeshi expatriates residing in Australia.
The cultural club will have opportunities such as introducing Bangladeshi dance, songs and acting to the Bangladeshi children after their school hours. Dr Farzana Yusuf Lita is holding the position as a president of the club.
Ferdous said: “I was impressed to see such initiative taken for the Bangladeshi children by the president. To uphold our culture, I will always be affiliated with this cultural organisation in near future. Besides, I don’t want to confine myself to acting only, to develop my creativity, I would like to get involved in various social movements.” Ferdous will return to home on December 10.
Ferdous’ film Khacha, directed by Raja Sen, featuring Ferdous will be released in Kolkata on December 6. The producer and actor Ferdous is currently working on his film Ak Cup Cha, directed by Nayeem Imtiaz Neyamul, which is expected to be released on Valentine’s Day. The versatile actor will complete the shooting of Muhammed Zakir Khan’s film Chaar Akhorer Bhalobasha soon. Actor and model of Bangladesh Popy is his co-star in the movie.
