Communications on the Dhaka-Chittagong rail route resumed Monday afternoon after 21 hours of suspension.
Md Moqbul Hossain, general manager of Bangladesh Railway’s east zone, said rail services restored at 4:45pm.
The rail communications remained snapped following the derailment of a train in Comilla at 7:45pm on Sunday.
Moqbul Hossain said rail communications on the route would be continued as the derailed train has been removed and distracted fish plates were fixed.
