Blast hurts 5-year old minor in Chittagong

A five-year old Play Group student was injured when a crude bomb exploded in the Akbar Shah area of the port city in Chittagong Monday morning.

The incident took place during a nationwide blockade programme of the BNP-led 18-party alliance for demands of national elections in line with their demand.

The victim, Sumaiya Akhter Sadia, a student of Cab International School, suffered minor injuries during the blast that took place around 8:15am, police said.

She took first aid medical treatments at a nearby pharmacy, Akbar Shah police Officer-in-Charge Abdul Majid said.
