A man was killed and five others injured as a bus rammed two rickshaws after pickets chashed and tried to torch it with petrol in Malibagh Chowdhury Para area of the capital Saturday evening.
The deceased was identified as Habibur Rahman, 35, a businessman.
Mozammel Hoque, inspector of DMCH police outpost, confirmed the Dhaka Tribune about the death.
Mohiuddin, one of the injured, said a bus rammed two rickshaws as pickets chased and tried to torch it pouring petrol in the area around 8:30pm, leaving several persons injured.
The injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where one succumbed to his injuries.
