Fire broke out at Standard garments factory at Konabari industrial area in Gazipur at around 12:15am on Friday.
Hearing rumor of death of two garment workers, agitating workers set the fire on two buildings of Standard Group.
Abu Zafar Ahmed, Gazipur fire service station officer, confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
Local sources said the agitated workers also vandalised and set fire on several shops near the garment factory.
On information, seven firefighting units from Gazipur rushed in and trying to douse the fire till filing of this report at about 3:00 pm.
