SI Tutul and band Dhrubotara to perform at IGCC

Renowned singer, song-writer and Bangladeshi music composer, SI Tutul and his band Dhrubotara will perform at the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, Gulshan on Friday at 6:30pm. The programme is organised by IGCC in association with Asian Paints, IRCON and Marico Bangladesh.

SI Tutul is a prominent exponent of the songs in contemporary genres. He started his musical career at a young age and has written and composed music for most of his songs. In 2005, he gained nationwide popularity for his songs in the much-acclaimed film Bachelor. In particular, the song Keu Prem Kore which was composed and sung by him, was a big hit.

Tutul was awarded the National Award as the best music director for the film Daruchini Dip in 2007. He again won the National Award in 2010 as the best male playback singer for the song Bukeri Bhetore Joton Koria. Tutul also composed music for the song Amar Majhe Nei Ekhon Ami for which renowned singers Samina Chowdhury and Asif Akbar won the National Film Award. He was also awarded at the International Film Festival in Chennai in 2006 for his music composition for the film Nirontor. He has been hailed by Channel i as “Shurer Karigor.”

Internationally, Tutul has performed all around the world in countries such as USA, UK, Germany, France, Australia, Belgium, Austria, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Japan, Bangkok, Malaysia, Singapore, Nepal, Dubai, Qatar and Bahrain, among others.
