Railway communications of Chittagong with Dhaka and Sylhet were resumed on Monday evening.
The services, which were suspended in the morning after three carriages of a container train were derailed in Akhauraupazila of Brahmanbaria, were resumed sometime around 6:20pm.
Bangladesh Railway East zone Divisional Officer Shukumar Bhowmik confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
Earlier in the morning, the Chittagong railway link with Dhaka and Sylhet were severed after three carriages of a container train derailed in Akhauraupazila of Brahmanbaria around at 8:20am.
