ACC sues 6 govt officials in Bogra

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) on Sunday sued six government officials, including the joint secretary for home ministry for their alleged involvement in the illegal acquisition of government lands worth Tk1.9m.

Md Faruk Ahmed, assistant director of Bogra district ACC office, filed the case with Bogra sadar police station on Sunday morning.

The accused are former deputy commissioner of Bogra district Md Iftekharul Islam Khan (also the joint secretary for the home ministry), former land officer of Sherpur upazila Dewan Mahbubur Rahman (also UNO of Nawabganj upazila in Dhaka district), former relief and rehabilitation officer Md Mohsin Ali and former assistant land officers of Mirzapur union Md Abdus Sattar, Mosharraf Hossain and Ramzan Ali.

According to the case statement, the accused persons have acquired three acres of government land worth Tk1.9m by making false documents.
