Police and coast guards detained a group of Malaysia-bound youths in separate raids in Cox’s Bazar.
Sixteen youths were held early on Saturday from Pathuartek, said Ukhiya police station Officer-in-charge Giyas Uddin Miya.
Ten others were held at midnight on Friday from Teknaf Bazar, said Coast Guard Commander Lieutenant Dewan Rafiqul Awal.
After detention they were handed over to their respective police stations. Human trafficking cases were lodged against the trafficking agents.
