At least two people were killed and 10 others injured on Wednesday as a passenger bus plunged into a roadside ditch on Rangpur-Kurigram road under Lalmonirhat sadar upazila.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Sources said a Kurigram-bound passenger bus plunged into the roadside ditch at Fakirertokeya area around 8:30pm, killing two on the spot and injuring others.
Confirming the incident, Lalmonirhat sadar police station Officer-in-charge Jamir Uddin said: “Fire service team from Rangpur rushed to the spot to recover the bus.”
