On the occasion of noted litterateur Humayun Ahmed’s 65th birth anniversary Channel i will hold Humayun Mela 2013 at its premises. The channel also declared Ahmed’s birthday as Himu Day, at a in the last year’s celebration.
Meanwhile, enormous preparation has been taken to successfully hold the fair at the Channel i premises.
Humayun’s family members will be present at the fair. Noted writers, poets, playwrights, fans and other distinguished guests will add dazzle to the event by releasing balloons and festoons. A big cake will be cut at the programme.
Songs written by Humayun Ahmed, along with his favourite songs, will be performed at the fair. A thousand visitors will get yellow panjabi, a signature of Ahmed’s famed character Himu.
An art competition for youngsters, dance performances, reminiscences will also be part of the fair. DVDs, CDs and VCDs of TV plays and films directed by Humayun Ahmed will be found at stalls at the fair. A book fair showcasing Humayun Ahmed’s masterpieces will also be part of the arrangement.
Humayun Mela will start at 11am and Channel i will air the fair live.
