Energy Advisor to the prime minister, Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, on Monday claimed that the government has achieved a Golden A in the energy sector.
He made the statement while talking to journalists at a press conference organised ahead of the lightshow portraying the government’s achievement in the sector.
The government is going to organise lightshows across the capital as the country’s capacity of power production increased to 10,213mw.
The main function of the lightshow will be held at Bangabandhu International Convention Centre at 6:30pm on Tuesday.
The energy advisor apprised that the capacity of power production was 4,942mw when the ruling government takes office.
“It will stand at 10,979mw by the end of this year,” he claimed.
