A worker at a motor garage was burnt alive while he was working on an oil tanker in Paglakanai area, Jhenaidah town, on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Bablu Mia, 42, son of Rabbat Ali Mandal from Barakamarkundu village, Jhenaidah sadar upazila.
Jhenaidah sadar police station Sub-inspector Mohammad Shamsuzzoha said Bablu sustained severe burn injuries while working on the oil tanker at 2:30pm.
He was taken to Jhenaidah sadar hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
