Foreign Minister Dipu Moni is scheduled to fly to India on November 10 to attend the 11th Foreign Ministers’ Meeting of Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) in New Delhi due on November 11-12.
This will be the first participation of Bangladesh in the ASEM meeting as the country only became its member last year, a foreign ministry source said.
“We have requested a sideline meeting with the Indian foreign minister but it is yet to be fixed,” the official said. If the meeting takes place, Dipu Moni might discuss political situation in Bangladesh, Land Boundary Agreement, Teesta Water Sharing and border killing with her Indian counterpart.
She might hold several other meetings, the official added. Dipu Moni is expected to go to Sri Lanka on November 12 to attend the 23rd Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
