Popular anchor of different TV shows, Misti, is going to debut on the silver screen with her upcoming film “Patri Chai” directed by Wazed Ali Sumon.
She recently signed for the film, where she will be seen against Bappy Chowdhury.
The newcomer starlet had been approached by several directors and producers earlier, but she refused and took a back seat from the “glamour world,” as she is a medical student.
She is well-liked in advertisements and finally decided to appear on the silver-screen. Her decision was influenced by the fact that she wanted to debut with a role of her liking. Recently she shared her vision in an interview with the Dhaka Tribune:
How did start working in the media?
I started my career in the entertainment industry as a model in an advertisement. Then I was offered to work as an anchor for TV shows, which I accepted happily. My first acting experience was in Sajal Ahmed’s Din Ratrir Manush and I must say that I enjoyed the experience immensely.
How are you planning on developing your acting career?
I am a novice in the acting arena, my cousin Sajal Ahmed is a director and he is also involved with theatre and gives me helpful acting tips. I got my basics straight from him. Acting teaches you something new everyday and my inexperience in the field prompts me to follow senior actors and learn from their performances.
I also watch movies and try to analyze and learn from observing styles of legendary actors.
Where do you see yourself ten years from now?
As I am a medical student, I see myself as a doctor first and hope that I will be a renowned caregiver in ten years time. On the other hand, I also see myself as an established actor of Bangladesh. I don’t want to be a heroine, I want to be an actor. I am hoping to develop my career as a successful actor and really looking forward to seeing myself as one of the best in Bangladesh after ten years.
Which actor is your idol?
My idol is Suchitra Sen. Her style, look and way of talking, everything is so mesmerising, in a short I follow her as much as I can.
