With her ascent to the top five in the Lux Channel i Superstar 2006 pageant, Badhon has become a popular face in the entertainment industry.
Her convincing acting along with undeniable good looks has brought her audience appreciation, enabling her to find her niche and establish a position in the media for herself.
Badhon made her debut in Bua Bilash, a play written and directed by eminent writer late Humayun Ahmed.
Her appearance in Chondrokotha and Choita Pagol has received positive response. Her return to the entertainment world, after her break, was as swift and successful as her debut.
Badhon took a year and a half break due to the birth of her first child. She made her comeback with a 300-episode drama, titled Akash Meghe Dhaka, directed by Jewel Mahmud. Dhaka Tribune recently caught up with the actor:
How many new projects are you working on?
I am working on a handful of drama series and single episode plays including Mainul Hasan Khokon’s Jibon Sangsar, Noim Imtiaz Neyamul’s Tobuo Jibun, Arif Khan’s Secret Service and Kochi Khondoker’s Yes Boss No Boss.
On the other hand, I am a doctor and my work in a clinic is also keeping me quite occupied. Within a very short time, I will start my own clinic in Gulshan. Along with my career, I am also a dedicated mother, keen on giving a proper upbringing to my child.
How do you manage time to work in these projects?
It’s really very difficult. My family is my first priority and finding a perfect balance to satisfy both is a challenging task. I want to spend more time with my baby as it is my opinion that a child thrives more with care from its mother.
I am very strict about timing and is keen on maintaining my schedule. I do not work after 8pm, I come straight home. Also, I don’t go for shooting everyday. Like I said before, my first priority is my family.
What about appearing on silver screen?
It is the dream of almost every actor to work on the glorious silver screen. I am no different than others and would love to work as a silver screen actor, given that I can manage time out of my schedule.
