Ganajagaran Mancha announces sit-in for Sunday

Ganajagaran Mancha on Thursday announced a sit-in, along with other programmes, for Sunday when the verdict against Ashrafuzzaman Khan and Chowdhury Mueenuddin is to be delivered.

The pro-liberation platform also condemned the countrywide rampage and terrorist activities executed by Jamaat-e-Islami and its affiliate Shibir in recent days, particularly during the time of BNP’s 60 hours hartal.    

 In a press conference at Shahbagh, Imran H Sarkar, the spokesman of the mancha announced a series of programmes protesting the attacks that aimed to foil the trial of war criminals.

He also announced a rally on November 2 protesting the recent attacks and demanding the implementation of the 6 points of the Mancha in Shahbagh, and another sit-in from 10am rally demanding the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami and the implementation of the verdicts against the war criminals at Shahbagh. 

It was stated in the press conference that under the guise of political activities atrocious attacks were being executed against pro-liberation figures including judges, prosecutors, journalists and political activists and leaders, and establishments that signify pro-liberation ideals.

As part of that the residences of Supreme Court Judge SK Sinha, chief prosecutor of ICT Golam Arif Tipoo, prosecutor Tureen Afroz came under their bombings, Imran Said.

He added that Jamaat-shibir have also hurled bombs targeting the ICT in front of its gate and rampaged in Mahbubul Alam’s house to kill him and his family.

He also condemned the explosions targeting the Ganabhaban, the pm’s official residence, Election commission, CPB office, and media houses.

Ganajagaron Mancha reiterated the demands which it previously raised including the ban on Jamaat-e-Islami from indulging in politics and to uproot the establishments which are connected to militancy.

It also urged to people to be aware so that no rumours or lies can harm the movement for the capital punishment for the notorious war criminals.
