A wheat laden light vessel capsized as an oil tanker collided with it in the Chittagong Port channel this morning.
Sources said the vessel was carrying 1800 metric tons of wheat.
Chittagong Port Authority said MV Golden Blessing, which was anchored at the Silo Jetty, capsized at around 9:30am when an oil tanker Blue Pacific collided with it.
Sayad Farhad Uddin Ahmed, secretary to the CPA, said all the crewmen of the vessel had been rescued soon after the incident.
He added the incident would not hamper the movement of vessels in the port channel.
