At present, Nicole Kidman has stepped off the fast lane of Tinseltown and has settled down in Nashville with her country-star hubby, Keith Urban.
The 46-year-old actress says her Hollywood marriage to Tom Cruise was fun while it lasted and likened it to a 1990s version of Brangelina.
“There is something about that sort of existence that, if you really focus on each other and you’re in that bubble, it’s very intoxicating, because it’s just the two of you,” Kidman tells December’s Vanity Fair, which also features her striking a pose that echoes her upcoming biopic on Princess Grace of Monaco. “And there is only one other person that’s going through it. So it brings you very close, and it’s deeply romantic. I’m sure Brad and Angelina have that - because there’s nobody else that understands it except that person who’s sleeping right next to you.”
Kidman, who was married to Cruise from 1990 to 2001, insisted that she’s now just another pretty face in Nashville and rarely gets recognized in public.
“Having experienced extreme fame and now getting to a place where it’s not so dominating in my life, I’m always surprised when I go somewhere and people know who I am,” she said.
Nicole Kidman will star in and produce an adaptation of “The Silent Wife,” the summer literary breakout novel by ASA Harrison. Mazur - Kaplan partners Paula Mazur and Mitchell Kaplan has teamed with Kidman and Per Saari’s Blossom Films to option the psychological thriller and produce it. Mazur/Kaplan will fund the development of the film.
