A melodious concert of Hindustani classical vocal music by prominent artist Shri Saurav Kumar Nahar will take place at the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre (IGCC) Gulshan, on Friday at 6:30pm.
The show is open for all and entry is free. The programme is organised by IGCC in association with Asian Paints, IRCON and Marico Bangladesh.
Saurav Nahar is an established Hindustani classical vocal music exponent of India who is presently working as a vocal teacher and performer at IGCC, Dhaka. He is one of the foremost exponents of Bhagalpur Sangeet Parampara.
Born in 1984 in Bihar, Nahar hails from a family of great musical maestros like late Pandit Prahalad Prasad Mishra (his grandfather) and has trained under late Pandit Ram Naresh Mishra. Presently, he is training under the able guidance of his father Guru Pandit Sangeet Kr Nahar. He is an MA in music from Delhi University & pursuing his doctorate degree from Indira Kala Sangit University Khairagarh.
