At least five people (including children) were injured, and damage was done to homesteads, crops and trees, in a 10-minute hailstorm in Sherpur, Bogra, on Sunday afternoon.
Traffic was suspended on the Dhaka-Dinajpur Highway for nearly half an hour, as trees uprooted by the storm had fallen on the road.
Officials said the storm-hit areas included Town Colony, Shreerampurpara, Jagannathpara, Ghoshpara and Khandakarpara in Sherpur upazila; and the adjacent Khandakartala, Bagha, Chalkpota and Sughat areas under Shahabandegi union.
