Five persons were killed and one was injured in a road accident in Osmani Nagar area of Sylhet on Dhaka-Sylhet Highway Tuesday night, reports BSS.
Police said the accident took place at 10pm when a Dhaka bound bus from Sylhet rammed into a CNG run auto-rickshaw at Goalabazar killing three persons on the spot. Two other critically injured men died on way to hospital.
The rest of injured was admitted to Osmani Medical College and Hospital in critical condition. All victims were the passengers of the auto-rickshaw, the police said.
The identity of the victims could not be known immediately.
