The Chittagong test match between Bangladesh and New Zealand ended in a draw on Sunday.
In the first innings, New Zealand scored 469 all out in which KS Williamson was the top scorer with a 114. Bangladesh, coming down to bat, scored 501, witnessing Mominul Haque’s first century scoring at 181.
In the second innings, New Zealand declared their innings after they scored 287 with the loss of seven wickets. Chasing a lead of 256 by New Zealand, Bangladesh ended the match in a draw, scoring 173 for the loss of three wickets.
Bangladesh batted 48.3 overs, Shakib Al Hasan bagged another one of his half centuries in test match, scoring 50 from 39 balls only.
First innings centurian Mominul Haque was also unbeaten, on the crease with 22.
The match also saw amazing all-round performance by Sohag Gazi, who, besides scoring a century in the first innings, had a hat-trick in New Zealand’s second innings and a total of six wickets in the match.
Sohag Gazi was the man of the match for the performance.
