Aranyak is to premier their new production Swapnopothik today at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at 7pm in the presence of invited guests and the press. Yesterday at the same premises, a technical rehearsal of the play took place.
The plot of the play is based on the tragic accident of the Rana Plaza fiasco and is written by Harun Rashid and directed by Mamunur Rashid. The light design of the production is by Thandu Raihan, set designing is done by Foyez Zahir and renowned dancer Warda Rihab, who is the director of Driti Natyanalaya, is in charge of the choreography.
The cast of the production is comprised of popular theatre activists Mamunur Rashid, Momena Chowdhury, Tamalika Karmaker, Arif Ahmed Apel, Abu Hasib Masuduzzaman, Chitra Chobi, Shaju, Kamrul, Monir Zaman and almost fifty more actors of the Aranyak group will act in the massive production that tells a heartbreaking tale of the incident that brought devastation and loss upon thousands of life.
