A five-year-old kindergarten student was injured in a handmade bomb explosion in port city’s Tinpoler Matha area on Wednesday afternoon.
The injured was identified as Soyad, a kindergarten student of Chittagong Elementary School.
Witnesses said he incident took place during a BNP shutdown in the district around 1pm.
Sources said the boy has been taken to local hospital.
The daylong BNP shutdown was called in the district; protesting a tribunal verdict that handed death penalty to Salauddin Quader Chowdhury MP.
