Unidentified criminals torched a pick-up van in the city’s Fulbaria area leaving its driver injured on Tuesday, hours after the ICT-1 verdict sentencing BNP leader Salauddin Quader Chowdhury to death, UNB reports.
Firefighters and witnesses said 5-6 unidentified men set fire to the pick-up van pouring petrol around 2 pm, causing burn injuries to its driver Nurul Islam.
He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
On information, firefighters rushed in and put out the fire.
