The Department of Narcotic Control (DNC) held a man with 1,000 yaba tablets from Chittagong city's Chandgaon area on Saturday morning.
A team of DNC led by Inspector Ibrahim Mia had conducted a drive at Signal Barua Para around 10am after a tip-off, an official said.
Deputy Director of DNC in Chittagong Metro Region Mukul Jyoti Chakma said Abdul Mannan, 45, was held from the drive with 1,000 Yaba tablets in his possession.
Mannan had been handed over to Chandgaon police and preparations were being made to file a lawsuit against him, Chakma said.
