Indian state Tripura has expressed interest in selling 100MW power to Bangladesh as the state will be power surplus by January next, according to a report by an Indian daily.
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has made the disclosure, The Times of India reported.
“We can sell 100MW power to Bangladesh from our share which will further improve our relation with the neighbouring country and help develop our state,” the newspaper quoted Manik Sarkar.
