Airtel Bangladesh and Radio Foorti have jointly announced the opening of the second season of the musical talent hunt initiative “Airtel-Radio Foorti Young Star of the Month” in a press conference held in the city. After the huge success of the first season, this year’s initiative is expected to be bigger and better. More than 2,500 songs were submitted by the participants last year.
This year, musical maestro Fuad Al Muqtadir has joined this project to make the dreams of young musical talents comes true.
The “Airtel-Radio Foorti Young Star of the Month” project had been devised to discover young musical talents and nurture them through their journey from amateur musicians to professionals. Young potential solo and band artistes are encouraged to send their songs to Radio Foorti where they will be played for the audience to listen. These songs will also be uploaded to Radio Foorti fan page and Airtel Bangladesh fan page “Airtel Buzz” on Facebook where listeners will be encouraged to “like” the songs. The final selection will be made based on the number of SMSs sent, “likes” gathered and the verdict of Fuad Al Muqtadir.
Two winners will be selected each month.
The chosen few will then be sent to Fuad’s studio for a complete makeover of their songs. At the end of the year, Airtel and Radio Foorti shall release the “Airtel-Radio Foorti Young Star” album featuring all the selected artists. The project is already under operation from the September 5, 2013.
