Update : 13 Sep 2013, 06:57 AM

Some 20 boys, mostly from Bangladesh, staying at a home for children in the district of South Dinajpur in India have reportedly escaped, on Thursday.

Sources said a group of 21 boys jumped over the fence of Sobhayan Home Thursday night and ran towards the Indo-Bangladesh border.

A PTI report claimed that the boys have crossed the border and into Bangladesh.

Only one of boys was caught in the hilly border area by the police, the home’s superintendent Dilip Biswas said, adding that the rest have “escaped to Bangladesh”.

When contacted, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Media Centre and Hakimpur police station in Dinajpur said that they were yet to hear anything regarding the matter.
