Renowned Indian singer Kabir Suman expressed his dissatisfaction with the verdict that was delivered by a special court of Indian special security forces, which acquitted the accused in the Felani murder case.
As an Indian citizen, Suman sought an apology to Felani’s family and relatives.
On Wednesday, the singer wrote a post on his Facebook page, saying Border Security Force Battalion-181 Constable Omiyo Ghosh had intentionally shot Bangladeshi girl Felani Khatun dead on January 7, 2011 while she and her father had been trying to cross the border fence.
Suman condemned the trial verdict.
