Two people were killed and at least five others were injured on Tuesday afternoon when an auto-rickshaw collided head-on with a laden truck on the Mirersarai highway in Chittagong.
Bara Aulia highway police outpost officer-in-charge Sohel Imtiaz said the accident took place at Badamtala area of Mirersarai upazila at around 2pm.
"Auto-rickshaw driver Nur Hossain and one passenger Niranjan died on the spot," he said.
The five others injured were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
