BACHSAS (Bangladesh Cholochitra Sangbadik Sangstha) Film Award giving function will be held on October 10 at the Mirpur National Indoor Stadium.
In a press conference on September 8 at the National Press Club., Abdur Rahman, chairperson of the BACHSAS, Iqbal Karim Nishan, secretary, Chinmoy Mutsuddi, chairperson of the BACHSAS Film Award jury board and Md Wahid Hossain, chairman of Frontia Private Limited, talked about various aspects of the upcoming event.
The ceremony is aimed at recognising and bestowing awards on artistes of films released on 2009, 2010, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Prominent stars of the silver screen will present an array of dazzling performances at the show. Prominent singers will also enrich the show with their renditions of popular songs.
Abdur Rahman shared, “Within a short time, we will arrange another press meet and our jury board will disclose the names of artistes who will be awarded. For the very first time, this year BACHSAS elected committee won’t have any involvement with the jury board. We have selected a 21- member jury board to ensure fair judgment.”
“The awards will also be given to the artistes related to television and music industries. On the other hand, we will honour seasoned artistes with S M Parvez Memorial Award, Fazlul Haque Memorial Award, Ahmed Zaman Chowdhury Memorial Award and Belaal Ahmed Memorial Award,” said Chinmoy Mutsuddi.
