A new sports organization in the name of “Sports Development Association” introduced their members to the media at a local hotel yesterday. Though the members were formally introduced yesterday, the association, however, was formed earlier.
The president of the organisation Mosaddek Ali Falu informed that they will work for the betterment of sports in Bangladesh and said, “We want to work together for the development of sports in Bangladesh and those who think like that we will include them in the sports development association.”
Former sports minister Sadek Hossain Khoka was also present at the programme and said that the sports should always be away from politics. “Nobody should use the politics in the sports arena and I think sports should be given much more priority and increase the budget in the future time,” he said.
Former Bangladesh Cricket Board president Ali Azgar Loby, Moinul Hoque Chowdhury, former footballer and minister retd Major Hafiz Uddin, former minister Mirza Abbas and former manager of the Bangladesh national cricket team retd col Abdul Latif Khan, former national footballer Kaisar Hamid were also present during the occasion.
However, it was mainly the showdown from the opposition political party who are trying to reunite and take a strong stance for the future in Bangladesh’s sports arena.
