At least three people were killed and two others injured in a road accident at Tamabil on Sylhet-Tamabil highway in Goainghat upazila on Saturday afternoon. Among the deceased, one was identified as Farid Mia, 55, son of late Abdul Latif of Araishidha village in Brahmanbaria. Police said a Sylhet-bound coal-laden truck from Tamabil rammed a CNG-driven auto-rickshaw in the area around 4pm, leaving the auto-rickshaw driver and its two passengers dead on the spot. The injured were rushed to Osmani Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
