Alliance Française de Dhaka is all set to screen four short films directed by Mahde Hasan and Abid Hossain Khan – two of the country's young and independent filmmakers – on Friday evening.
The films are “I Am Time”, “Photographs of a School Teacher”, “Steps” and “Mechanism.”
According to a press release, the short films will be screened at Alliance Française de Dhaka auditorium around 6pm.
Mahde Hasan’s “I Am Time” is a story of a photographer fascinated with the concept of time, while “Photographs of a School Teacher” deals with the story of a school teacher who has spent many years of her life close to a city.
On the other hand, Abid Hossain Khan’s “Steps” is a documentary that explores a compilation of events, life and human activities related with steps, and “Mechanism” takes the viewers on an industrial journey and explores the effects of western modernisation in a developing country like Bangladesh.
