Minister Sheikh Hasina, along with her family members, arrived at Fatehpur village, Pirganjupazila, Rangpur, on Wednesday afternoon, reports banglanews24.com.
A helicopter carrying Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her entourage landed at Fatehpur helipad in Pirganj upazila around 12:30 pm while Sajib Wajed Joy along with other family members arrived around 12:15pm by another helicopter.
Rangpur-6 constituency MP Abul Kalam Azad, Awami League Organising Secretary Khaled Mahmud Chowdhury welcomed the premier.
The helicopter carrying Sheikh Hasina left Tejgaon Airport at 11:10am for Rangpur, the hometown of the prime minister's husband Dr Wajed Mia.
The prime minister's son Sajib Wajed Joy, his wife Kristine Ann Overmire, his son, daughter and sister Sayma Wajed Putula ccompanied the premier.
The PM is set to attend a family programme at the Fatehpur residence of Dr Wajed.
Later, the she will address a rally at Pirganj Government High School grounds.
She will inaugurate the Dr MA Wajed Mia Bridge, Zila Parishad rest house, and the regional passport office and officers' dormitory building.
