Syed Abul Hossain, former communications minister, sent a rejoinder on a report titled "Firms backed by politicians owe BTRC 9bn" on June 27 in the Dhaka Tribune.
He said, "My daughter in fact bought 50% of the share of Cloud Tel Ltd. from the original directors of the company on April 25, 2012.
Due to her lack of knowledge and declining interest in Telecommunication sector she resigned from Cloud Tel Ltd. as a director on December 9, 2012 and thereafter sold her shares in full with all assets and liabilities to another interested party."
