Sobera Ahmed Rizvi (Rita), a philanthropist and social activist, died on Saturday in New York, USA. Rita succumbed to cancer after fighting the disease for over three years, according to a press release. She left behind a doting family ""“ her husband Shahinshah Rizvi, a former banker and now an entrepreneur, two sons, a daughter, daughters-in-law and a granddaughter. She is the daughter of Begum Rabeya and the late Ejabuddin Ahmed of Thakurgaon. Her body will arrive in Dhaka tomorrow. Her namaz-e-janaza will take place at the Gulshan Azad Mosque after tomorrow's Esha prayers. She will be laid to rest at a private graveyard in Tejgaon.
