The 50 bed Ranisankail Upazila Health Complex has turned into storage of jute.
A pile of jute was found at the Obstetrics Department situated on the second floor of the hospital. The patients have to tolerate bad odour of jute.
When contacted over phone with Residential Medical Officer Dr Abdus Samad on Wednesday, he set up a meeting with the correspondent but was unavailable when the corresponded went to meet him.
Patients alleged that although the authority concerned had increased the number of seats, they have failed to ensure improved healthcare facilities.
The 50-bed hospital is beset with manifold problems, including serious manpower crisis and shortage of medicines.
Patients of the hospital alleged that they had to buy medicines from outside.
The patients told the reporter that they do not know where to go to submit their complaints against the poor service.
They did not get any effective outcome after making complaint to the hospital authorities.
