A man and his minor son were killed, and six others injured, when a microbus hit a bicycle in Bhandaripara, Sailkupa upazila on Monday morning.
The deceased – Bhabesh Adhikari, 32, and Anik Adhikary, 7 – hailed from the Bhandaripara village.
The bodies have been sent to Jhenaidah sadar hospital morgue autopsy.
Sailkupa police station officer-in-charge Anwar Hossain said: “A Sailkupa-bound microbus hit the bicyclist Bhabesh and his son Anik around 11:30am, leaving them dead on the spot.”
The microbus then hit a roadside tree and skidded off the road, injuring all of the six passengers on board.
The injured were admitted to Jhenaidah sadar hospital.
No case was filed with regard to the incident until the filing of the report.
