Bangladesh badminton player Aimani bin Zaman lost to M. Koga of Japan 21-8, 21-3 in the second round of the Asian Youth Games Badminton at Nanjing yesterday.
Aiman had earlier beaten Iraqi’s Al Mandalwi by 21-10, 21-15 to advance to the second round.
Meanwhile the female shooters of Bangladesh SharminAkter of BKSP and SharminAkter of Savar Cantonment Shooting Club scored 396 and 393.2 respectively. The formerSharmin finished 27th and while the latterwas placed 32nd among the 40 participants.
ReshmaAkterJahura, the weightlifter participating in the women’s 48 kg category finished 10th among 12 contestants, lifting 117 kg’s in the clean and jerk.
