Police arrested eight people, including five Myanmar nationals, from a hotel in Purba Madarbari area of the Chittagong city Friday as they were preparing to go to Saudi Arabia.
Of the arrestees, three hail from Cox’s Bazar district.
Officer-in-charge of Sadarghat Police Station Pranab said police made the arrest in the morning when the Rohingyas along with Bangladeshi nationals were preparing at Al Halim Hotel to go to Saudi Arabia with fake passports.
