Bandits kill fisherman in Sundarbans

Bandits shot dead a fisherman after abduction at Satkhira range of Western Sundarbans on Thursday.   The bullet-hit body of Rabiul Islam,28, of Dumuria village of Shyamnagar upazila, was recovered from Firingir char on Thursday.   Family sources said members of notorious ‘Majid Bahini’ abducted Rabiul from Dhanibunia canal one week ago and demanded Tk 1 lakh as ransom. As his family members failed the pay the money the bandits shot him to death and floated the in the river. Shyamnagar thana police recovered the body, reports UNB.
